Inspired by emotion tracking apps and Netflix’s approach to content recommendation, I conceived and designed Mooods as “an emotion-based content app.” With Mooods, users begin their content browsing experience by selecting their intent—“I want to indulge/discover/keep up”—and then drilling down by topic. It’s a unique approach to content delivery, sorting content not only by interest but also the user’s state of mind.
I was selected as a Hearst fellow based on my app idea for Mooods and the prototype was developed during a consequent 8-week Hearst Fellowship at Hearst Corp. and the NYC Media Lab.
